At this weight, the tape is ideal for standard drywall jointing, crack repair, and plaster reinforcement work — lightweight enough for easy on-site handling, yet strong enough to resist tearing, shrinking, and distortion under plaster and putty loads. Each filament is coated with an alkali-resistant resin that protects against degradation from cement, lime, and plaster — the most common causes of fiber mesh tape failure over time.
